Mooimuis in the creation of a toddler adapted device for interaction with computer software.
The idea is to create an intelligent toy that will react to the input given by the child through movement, touch and sound. The reaction would be transmitted to a software specially designed for this device that would give input back to the child.
The goal in this dynamic is to create interactions that help develop the important points a child needs to develop in this age, and to adapt these interactions to their very fast pace of growth.
The concept is to create a simple module connected to the computer for one first simple interaction to which more modules could be connected to create different combinations and offer high personalization.
The research is based on defining the needs of the child and the way the software and the device would respond to them

Mooimuis research and first prototypes

The first question that came up in the Mooimuis research is...why should we do this project

Which could be the advantages for toddlers to use computers?
And we came up with several answers.....
...looking at the actual situation of software use by toddlers...
keyboard marked for a toddler to use the right keysand the kind of interaction this creates...

...we search to create a new, richer interaction...

basing ourselves on the child and the points he needs to develop...

... based on this, the first material tryouts were done...

... possible interactions were defined...for working in collaboration with the KRO...

...and the first working prototypes were made...
